HVAC CONTROLLER: This controller is normally used when the HEPA PLUS units are attached to an existing HVAC system in a partial by-pass configuration. The controller is attached to either the Thermostat or to the Thermostat terminal strip on the HVAC system itself. The HVAC CONTROLLER tells the ECM motor to ramp up to high speed during heating or cooling cycles and then ramp down to one of four low (Off-Demand) speeds when heating or cooling is not required. This allows the system to run all the time providing air filtration at low speeds, minimizing noise, and using very little electricity. This controller can also be used for independent control of a HEPA PLUS unit in certain stand-alone applications.

DCU - DIGITAL VARIABLE SPEED CONTROLLER: This controller is normally used when applying any of the HEPA PLUS units is a stand-alone configuration or if using the HEPA 1200HS or HEPA 2000HS PLUS units in-line with and HVAC system with 100% air flow. The new LED digital speed controller has a lighted display indicator that shows the percent of volume from 1% to 100%. This means you can control the speed of the motor (volume of the PLUS unit) from 1% of volume to 100% of volume in 1% increments. This controller can be mounted in three different ways. First, it can be mounted inside the motor/blower section. Second, it can be mounted in the motor/blower access door. Third, it can be mounted in a separate junction box to allow for remote operation to the HEPA PLUS unit itself.

INFRARED REMOTE CONTROLLER: This controller is a special option and the most expensive controller option available. This controller works like the DCU controller except you use a hand-held infrared remote to send a signal to a receiver mounted on the HEPA PLUS unit. The hand-held remote allows you to control the speed, set the speed, and start and stop the motor from a distance of up to 30 feet.

SPECIAL DIGITAL CONTROL SYSTEMS: In many cases, the GE ECM motors used by Pure Air Systems, Inc. can be connected to other digital control systems and indicators such as pressure differential controllers, temperature controllers, and some process controllers. This allows for the adaptation of the HEPA PLUS units to a variety of commercial, institutional, and industrial environments and process digital control systems.
