While there are many small, battery or electrically powered air filtration units on the market, these tend to be utilized for small areas and with minimal air flow. In many cases they are made with plastic fan blades with very small motors and are useful primarily in a small space or room. These are sold through retail outlets and on Amazon. 

The commercial HEPA air filtration systems offered by Pure Air Systems, use all metal components for their housings, fans and motors. These units are designed to move anywhere from 50 CFM up to 2,000 CFM of HEPA filtered air. The variable speed motors used in these systems can be controlled remotely and the fan speed can be adjusted in 1% increments to meet any air flow demand for any size room or area. 

The PAS air filtration systems are designed to be used as either a stand-alone unit or they can be attached to the return air side of any ducted HVAC system. They can be used to introduce very small amounts of outside air to help pressurize a room to keep it in a positive pressure mode. The outside air is introduced before the filters so the air is completed filtered prior to entering the room or area.

The PAS units come complete with a prefilter, carbon media filter and true commercial grade HEPA filter. The units can also be configured to just have a prefilter and all carbon for applications where gaseous pollutants are present.
