Air Filtration For Coastal Areas

If you live on or near the coast line of the U.S. you know the pleasure of looking out over the water and hearing the crashing of the waves and that smell that only comes from being near a body of water. For most people it is very cathartic.

However, with the changing climate conditions and the continued lack of concern over dumping a wide variety of trash into our oceans and lakes, the development of various Algae and toxins is now being found off many coasts.

These toxins are airborne and are harmful to coastal birds, fish and humans. These airborne bacteria range in size from 3 to 10 microns and are not visible with the naked eye. This makes it more difficult to deal with as most people are concerned with what they can see.

In 1985, Pure Air Systems was founded and developed a high end HEPA based air filtration systems that could be attached to any force air ducted heating/cooling system with the ability to clean the entire home 24 to 48 times per day.

PAS uses scanned HEPA filters. These filters are certified to capture 99.99% of all particles 0.3 and larger and up to 99.95% of all particles 0.12 microns in size over time. This means they will remove any and all of the harmful airborne bacteria that comes on shore from the oceans and lakes .

For people with respiratory issues or asthma, these airborne particulate can exacerbate their ability to breath normally without some type of respirator or having to remain indoors when these toxic bacteria are released into the air.

PAS makes a line of fan powered HEPA filtration systems that include a small portable HEPA unit that can move up to 350 CFM of air to our largest system which can move up to 2,000 CFM of air.
