For most people the word hospital conjures up a feeling of safety, help, relief, life saving and comfort. We often hear on the news or read online about someone who sustained an injury, is in the hospital and is listed as critical. Critical care involves close, constant attention by a team of specially-trained medical personnel whose primary job is keeping the patient alive. There are critical care nurses that are specially trained to deal with the medical care required for patients that are critical.
